Chance Mallory’s MVP performance carries Saints to first Holiday Invitational title

The first champion of the 2023 John Wall Holiday Invitational has been crowned. Charlottesville St. Anne Belfield Saints (VA) overcomes a huge first quarter deficit to beat The Burlington School Spartans 64-54 in the Coby White Bracket championship.
Saints guard Chance Mallory, who was named bracket MVP, finished with a game high 27 points. St. Anne’s-Belfield also received a contribution from 6'5" guard Danzelle Bullock Coles with a 15 point, 5 rebound game.
The Burlington School controlled most of the first half on both sides of the ball. Ty Outlaw led the Spartans offense with 15 points in addition to his 8 rebounds. TBS guard and all-tournament team nominee Zion Walker was another key player for the Spartans putting up 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.
