John Marshall Shuts Out Highland in 4th Quarter, Wins Coby White Bracket

The Richmond (VA) John Marshall Justices leave Raleigh with a new trophy with a 53-37 win over the Warrenton (VA) Highland Hawks in Monday’s Coby White Championship game. The tightly contested matchup saw the Justices take a 2 point lead to the half and a 5 point lead to the 4th quarter before their defense shut down the Hawks’ offense. 


Tournament MVP Latrell Allmond was the center piece for the Justices finishing with 15 points and 8 rebounds. The Justices had two other players named to the all-tournament team, Aiden Argabright (9 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds) and Troy Henderson (13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists). Big man Ladarius Givan was invaluable in the paint, ending the championship win with 7 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks. 


Nate Ament was everything for the Hawks finishing with an 18 point, 11 rebound double double on his way to being named tournament MOP.


Other players named to the all-tournament team were Millbrook’s Ashton King, Green Level’s Trevor Manhertz, Sidwell Friends’, Jayln Collingwood, Southern Durham’s Jackson Keith and Antoine Morman Jr., and Westchester’s Tajh Ariza.
