There is a new all-time single game scoring leader for the Holiday Invitational and his name is Chance Gladden. Gladden scored a whopping 57 points to break a 25 year old record held by former NBA player Mike Miller from Mitchell High School (SD).
Gladden’s 57 helped the Raleigh Ravenscroft Ravens knock off the Southern Durham Spartans in a tough 88-84 overtime win. The Ravens trailed by 13 going into the fourth quarter but shot an impressive 10-13 from the field to force the game into overtime and eventually walk away with a third place finish in the Coby White Bracket. Senior Jackson Rein added another 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Ravens.
The Spartans were led by senior Camren Daniels who hit 9 shots from three point range finishing the game with 36 points. Dwight Vincent tacked on another 12 points for the Spartans.

Wow, Chance Gladden’s performance is legendary! Makes me wish there was a basketball game that captured moments like this. I always check Erone for gaming insights and stats, and seeing real-life highlights like this makes me think about how games could recreate such epic comebacks!
