Westchester (CA) Holds Off Late Push from Southern Durham in Coby White 3rd Place Game

The Westchester (CA) Comets closed out their inaugural Holiday Invitational with a 61-56 victory over the Southern Durham Spartans. The California team’s win didn’t come easy as the Spartans hung around the whole way and both teams went to the locker room with the score knotted at 24.


Westchester was led on offense by 5 star recruit, Tajh Ariza (23 points, 5 rebounds) and Khaeden Asher-Grady (18 points, 8 rebounds). 


Southern Durham’s senior leadership paced the Spartans in scoring with Jackson Keith and Dwight Vincent. The Butler signee, Keith, finished the night with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Vincent had his best offensive showing of the tournament with 12 points. The Spartans leave Holliday Gymnasium finishing 4th in the Coby White bracket.
