Terry Sanford Uses Huge Second Quarter to Open Day 2 with Win Over South Central
The first game of the day was an exciting start to Day 2 of the Girls Holiday Invitational for the Fayetteville Terry Sanford Bulldogs who knocked off the Winterville South Central Falcons 58-44. The first quarter ended with the Falcons up 6, but a massive 25 point second quarter flipped the game in Terry Sanford’s favor. The deficit was just too much for South Central to come back from as the Bulldogs cruised through the second half on their way to the Wonderland bracket fifth place game.
Terry Sanford’s senior Breonna Roaf led the team throughout the game, putting up 19 as well as 6 assists. Junior Ameya Brown added 10 points of her own in the Bulldogs first win in the 2024 Holiday Invitational.
South Central junior Brook Evans had a double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Terry Sanford will play again at 10:30AM on Monday, December 30th in the Wonderland Bracket 5th Place Game. South Central will play in the 7th place game at 9am the same day.
