St. Anne's Belfield’s Hot Shooting Too Much for Host Team Broughton

The Charlottesville (VA) St. Anne’s-Belfield Saints are known as a team that shoots the basketball well. Friday’s matchup against the Raleigh Broughton Capitals was just another game for the Saints who earned their way into the Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket Championship game with a 72-51 win over the Capitals. STAB shot over 50% from the field and almost 40% from the three point line on their way to victory.


St. Anne’s Belfield’s win was led by uncommitted senior Chance Mallory, who had 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Senior Dz Bullock-Coles logged a double double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. 


Broughton sophomore Jordan Page had another impressive game finishing with a game high 27 points. On top of his shooting, Page also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists. 


St. Anne’s Belfield will play again Monday December 30th at 8pm for a chance at a Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket Championship against the winner of the Reidsville-Caldwell Academy game on Saturday. Broughton’s next game will be the 3rd place game against either Reidsville or Caldwell Academy on Monday at 2pm.
