Speller Leads Sanford Grace Christian to Statement Win Over Terry Sanford

The Sanford Grace Christian Eagles handed the Fayetteville Terry Sanford Bulldogs their first loss of the season in a 54-46 win thanks to a 20 point fourth quarter.

The Eagles were led by the underclassmen trio of Jordan Speller (19 points, 6 assists), Adaora Mogbo (10 points, 9 rebounds), and Kyndoll English (13 points, 18 rebounds). 

The Bulldogs kept the game within reach for much of the contest, leaning on their leading scorer Ameya Brown, who finished with 17 points. Jadiah Blake added a 13 point, 12 rebound double-double performance in the tough loss. Senior Breonna Roaf also finished in double figures while added a team high 6 assists.

Grace Christian will face Rolesville on Friday, December 27th at 7:30pm to close out day two competition at William Peace University. Terry Sanford will attempt to bounce back on Friday, December 27th at 9am against South Central.
