Southeastern Prep’s huge second quarter sends them to Coby White Championship

After a sloppy second half in game one, the Orlando FL Southeastern Prep Falcons bounced back in a major way with a 19-point win over fellow in-state powerhouse Bradenton FL IMG Academy Ascenders 75-56. The first quarter was an action packed eight minutes but that would be the closest the game would be after a 32 point second frame by the Falcons.

Junior Center Obinna Ekezie led the Falcons with a game high 18 points. In true team win, the Falcons had 4 finish the game in double figures highlighted by Junior Guard Beckam Black’s 15-point, 10 assist night.

Outscoring IMG Academy 52-22 in the second and third quarters showcased just how explosive this offense can be. They’ll look to carry that momentum into the championship against another powerhouse in Spire (OH) at 8:00pm on Tuesday.

IMG Academy was led by Chase Foster with his 13 points and 7 rebounds. IMG returns to action tomorrow in the 3rd place game against Greensboro Day at 2:00pm.
