The Orlando FL Southeastern Prep Falcons used their size and ball pressure to shut down a talented Davidson Day Patriots frontcourt in a 56-40 win. The Falcons dictated the pace defensively from start to finish, forcing tough possessions and limiting scoring opportunities.
Offensively, Southeastern was led by Beckham Black, who finished with 14 points and 6 assists, while Jaxon Richardson added 10 points.
Davidson Day struggled to find consistent production on the offensive end throughout the contest. Xavier Hall was a bright spot for the Patriots, finishing with 14 points but Davidson Day couldn’t overcome Southeastern’s defensive discipline and physicality.
Southeastern Prep will try to carry its momentum into the Coby White Bracket semifinals, where the Falcons are set to face IMG Academy at 8pm on Monday. Davidson Day will look to bounce back earlier that day, squaring off against The Burlington School at 12:30 PM.
