South Shore Knocks Off Terry Sanford for 5th Place in Wonderland Bracket
The Fayetteville Terry Sanford Bulldogs came out fast with an early lead in the Monday morning game, however, when the clock hit double zero it was the Brooklyn (NY) South Shore Vikings with a 58-48 win. The Vikings went into the half with a 2 point deficit, but over the course of the second half they were able to turn that into a 10 point win.
South Shore junior Tamaia Vines and freshman Kimora Pearson were the work horses for the Vikings in the game. Vines had 16 points and 3 rebounds while Pearson finished with 14 points with 6 rebounds.
The Bulldogs were led by junior Ameya Brown, who had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sophomore Zaniya Reddick also had 11 points of her own.
