South Shore Defense Carries Them to Day 3 Victory
The South Shore (NY) Vikings utilized a first quarter shutout to get the bounce back 44-31 win over the South Garner Titans. The Vikings put on a defensive clinic, racking up an impressive 20 steals, while Junior point guard Tamaia Vines led their offense with 12 points. Mikayla Beasly was all over the floor finishing the game with 6 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocks in the victory.
The Titans were unselfish in the loss with all but one player scoring, though no one finished in double figures. Taylor Moore ended her day tied for the game high in rebounds with 10.
South Shore will play Terry Sanford on Monday, December 30th at 10:30am. While South Garner will play for seventh place in the Wonderland Bracket on Monday at 9am against South Central.
