The South Garner Titans worked hard to redeem their two tournament losses with a 51-48 win over the High Point TW Andrews Red Raiders, landing themselves in the seventh place spot of the Wonderland bracket. The Red Raiders pulled ahead early, leaving the first quarter with a 17-12 lead over South Garner, but this deficit clearly lit a fire under the Titans, who came back hot to gain a 36-29 lead going into the half. The Red Raiders refused to give the game up, clawing their way back to only a 4 point deficit entering the fourth. The remainder of the game was all defense, but in the end a mere 3 point lead sealed the win for South Garner.
6’3” sophomore Harleigh Clark led the way for South Garner, scoring 18 points towards the win.
The Red Raiders’ senior Sam King finished with 20 points in their attempted comeback.
South Garner finished their time in the tournament and moved to a 7-6 tally on the season, which they will look to continue in the new year. TW Andrews fall to a 4-3 record for their season, which they will also hope to work for in 2026.
