Sabres sink their teeth in to earn berth in Pulley Bracket Championship Game

The South Mecklenburg Sabres jumped on the Raleigh Broughton Lady Capitals early and often Friday night in the second game of the Frances Pulley Bracket with a 63-38 win. 

It was all Sabres in the first quarter as they came out of the gate firing quickly jumping out to a 22-9 lead heading to the second quarter which turned into a 35-15 game by the half. The Sabres defense was relentless, holding the Lady Caps to less than 10 made field goals in the first half. 

The second half was much of the same though Broughton did add some baskets in the waning minutes of an already decided outcome.

The Sabres will face Southeast Raleigh in the Frances Pulley Bracket Championship at 3:30pm on Monday at Broughton High School. The Lady Capitals return to action Friday morning at 10:30am at Southeast Raleigh High School as they will square off with Northern Guilford in the third place game.
