S3 Academy's Big Game Earns Drew Effect Bracket Championship

Durham NC Good Better Best National Eagles came into this game with a strong first quarter, putting up 21 points to the Petersburg (VA) S3 Academy Panthers 10, however the rest of this game had a very different story. The Panthers were able to turn their game around putting up 20 points in each of the last three quarters to win 83-60 and walk away with their first Holiday Invitational championship.

S3 Academy’s offense was mostly run through senior Harissoum Coulibaly, who had 20 points with 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Junior Filomena Luis was also a major player with 15 points of her own. Seniors Penda Dieng (12 points) and Jadah White (11 points) were other Panthers in double figures in the win.

NCGBB starred several players in the loss including junior Tia Bryant (12 points, 4 rebounds), senior Ella Pierre-Louis (11 points, 5 rebounds), and senior McKenzie Graves (10 points).
