Reidsville Finishes Win Over Caldwell to Advance to Day'ron Sharpe Championship
Saturday night's game featuring the Reidsville Rams and the Greensboro Caldwell Academy Eagles was a game of runs ending with a 63-49 Ram victory. Caldwell struck first with a 22 point first quarter while holding the Rams to 10. Reidsville closed the gap in the second quarter, entering the half down 7. The Rams came out of the break and gave Caldwell a taste of their own first quarter with a 25-9 third quarter and then closed out the game in the fourth.
Reidsville point guard Dionte Neal had a 25 point night to go along with 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Kendre Harrison, who has been limited in the tournament due to illness, finished his night with 15 points and 9 rebounds in just 24 minutes of play.
Caldwell was once again carried by junior Cole Cloer, who had 19 points with 3 assists and 4 rebounds. Jaylen Cross was also a contributor Friday evening with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
Reidsville will compete for the Day'ron Sharpe Bracket championship on Monday, December 30th at 8pm against St. Anne’s-Belfield. Caldwell will play Broughton for 3rd place on the 30th at 2pm.
