Princess Anne Wins First Holiday Invitational Game Thanks to Big Second Half

Brooklyn (NY) South Shore Vikings kept it close in the first half of their opening game against the Virginia Beach VA Princess Anne Cavaliers, only trailing 4 at the half. However the Cavaliers defense tightened in the second half, holding the Vikings to only 15 points to their own 36 in the 71-46 Viking victory. 


Princess Anne had 3 players finish with double digits. Sophomore Micah Ojo led the charge with an 18 point double double. Sophomore Ellery Giddens (15 points) and junior Jizelle James (14 points) were the other Cavaliers in double figures.


The Vikings were led by junior Tamaia Vines, who ended the game with 11 points. Mikaiya Beasley added 8 points of her own in addition to tying the game high with 11 rebounds.


Princess Anne will play again Saturday, December 28th at 6pm against Cannon School. South Shore plays South Garner on the same day at 9am.
