Langdon’s endgame heroics lift Raleigh Millbrook over Warrenton VA Highland

The Raleigh Millbrook Wildcats earned a hard-fought 72-69 victory over the Highland Hawks out of Warrenton, Virginia in a wild contest with an even wilder ending. The entire game was a battle consisting of nine lead changes by the halftime buzzer and was tied at 69 going into the last 15 seconds. The game was capped off with Colt Langdon’s three-pointer at the buzzer to seal the win for the Wildcats in the Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket. 

Langdon finished with 18 points and 4 rebounds.. Millbrook was led in scoring by senior forward Alex Olander with 25 to go along with 8 rebounds while senior Kyrie Heredia tacked on another 13. 

The hawks Nate Ament showcased why he is a top prospect in the class of 2025. Ament had a team high 20 points and 11 rebounds added to Chance Perkins’ 19. Junior Julian Rivera also finished the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Millbrook will return to Holliday Gymnasium for a NCHSAA 4A clash with Charlotte Myers Park on Thursday. Highland will take on hometown Garner also on Thursday in a consolation game in the Day’Ron Sharpe Bracket.
