Green Level Wins 4A Clash Against Millbrook

Saturday mornings are tough on high schoolers, but the Cary Green Level Gators and the Raleigh Millbrook Wildcats seemed to wake up at the half with the Gators getting a 57-45 win. While the game was tied going to the fourth quarter, the Wildcats found themselves having to foul the last couple minutes to stay in the game. Green Level made their free throws count, shooting 21 for 24 from the free throw line.

Green Level’s win was largely in thanks to junior Trevor Manhertz who had 29 on the day including 12 for 12 from the line. Illinois State signee Isaac Ericksen was also a major piece finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds. 

Millbrook relied on transfer senior Ashton King who had 13 points and 6 rebounds. 

Green Level will play again Monday, December 30th at 11am against Sidwell Friends. Millbrook will play in the 7th place game in the Coby White Bracket against Clayton at 4:30pm on Monday at William Peace University.
