Deep Creek (VA) Pounds Durham Hillside in Holiday Invitational Showcase Game

Chesapeake (VA) Deep Creek jumped out to a lead early in the first quarter and never looked back in their 72-13 drubbing of Durham Hillside in the “Battle of the Hornets”. Deep Creek gave up 8 in the first quarter to Hillside but tightened down in the last three quarters only allowing 5 points combined in the final three stanzas while forcing a whopping 30 turnovers. 

Deep Creek’s Sophomore Kimora Hinton had 17 points to lead all scorers while Morgan Herbert added 12 points of her own.

Hillside was led by junior Morgan McFadhern, who finished the day with 5 points. 

Deep Creek will play again Friday, December 27th at 6pm against Bullis School. Hillside has no other games scheduled for the 2024 Holiday Invitational.
