Clayton Sneaks Out Close One Over Millbrook

In the Monday 7th place Coby White matchup, the Clayton Comets took down the Raleigh Millbrook Wildcats with a 65-62 win. The game was close for its entirety with Millbrook leading by one at half, and two at the end of the third. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, it’s all about the score when the clock hits zero and the Comets came to play in the fourth.

Clayton was led by Liberty signee Andrew Grimes who had 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Senior Darrion Ellis and junior Aiden Smalls had 13 points each to help guide their team to a win. 

The Millbrook scoring rode firmly on the shoulders of senior Ashton King, who had 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Josh Conti was the Wildcats second leading scorer with 10 points and 7 rebounds in the game.
