Christ School Coasts to Win Over Knightdale
The Arden Christ School Greenies got off easy in their opening round matchup, easily dismantling the Knightdale Knights 77-40. Dacen Petty made the first basket for Christ School and the Greenies kept rolling from there. Christ finished out the first quarter with a 15-7 lead. Knightdale played it close through the second quarter but had no answer for the Greenies in the third quarter being outs
cored 35-6.
Christ School was led by NC State commit Zymicah Wilkins, who had 21 points as well as a tournament high 21 rebounds, 15 of which came in the first half. Seniors Madden Collins and Dacen Petty tacked on 17 and 14 points respectively.
The Knights did have a bright spot in senior Isaiah Green who had 17 points and 6 steals.
Christ School will play again Saturday December 28th at 3:30pm against the winner of the Grace Christian-Northern Nash High game. Knightdale will play the loser of the Grace Christian-Northern Nash game on Saturday at 12:30pm.
