Cannon Walks Away with 3rd place in Wonderland Bracket of Holiday Invitational

Monday afternoon’s matchup between the Concord Cannon Cougars and the Rolesville Rams was full of back and forth plays between the teams, ending in the last with a late Cannon basket in the 62-60 win for the Cougars. The teams went into halftime with Rolesville up by 10, but a 28 point third quarter for Cannon got them back in the game.

The Cannon win was largely in part to sophomore Madison Drayton who finished with an impressive 24 point, 11 rebound double double.

Rolesville senior Kayla Bush had a double double of her own with a 20 point, 16 rebound game. Senior Camryn Lee had another 16 points to go with 8 rebounds, and senior Gabrielle Matthews had 12 points.
