Cannon School No Match for Ojo-Led Princess Anne

Virginia Beach (VA) Princess Anne Cavaliers came to play in a 87-51 win on Saturday evening over the Concord Cannon Cougars. After a crazy first quarter, the Cavaliers already had a 34-14 lead with no intentions of slowing down the scoring. 

Princess Anne was led by sophomore Micah Ojo who finished with an incredible 33 points in this game. Junior Jizelle James (15 points), sophomore Ellery Giddens (14 points) and Junior Tristen Rickenbacker (10 points) were other Cavaliers who ended the semifinal win in double figures. 

Cannon’s effort was tag teamed by Freshman Jakaila Gaskin and Senior Maya Mccorkle, who had 9 and 10 points respectively.

Princess Anne will play in the Wonderland Bracket Championship Game at Broughton High School on Monday December 30th at 5pm against Sanford Grace Christian. Cannon will fight for third place on the 30th at 12pm against Rolesville.
