The Potomac MD Bullis Bulldogs took down the Charlotte Mallard Creek Mavericks 64-40 to secure their spot in the Wonderland Bracket championship. The Bulldogs took control of the game early, pulling ahead to a 26-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. Bullis only continued to widen their gap, holding the Mavericks to a mere four points in the second, going into the half with a 22 point lead. The Mavericks tried to turn things around after walking out of the half time locker room, managing to narrow the gap slightly to 52-36 by the end of the third. They lost steam, however, and the Bulldogs were able to pull off a 12-4 fourth quarter to secure the win.

Bullis’ number 2 ranked Ivanna Manyacka once again led her team, finishing with 26 points in their win.

The Mavericks Georgia Southern University commit Kiara Anderson was Mallard Creek’s leading scorer with 12 points.

The Bulldogs will play in the Wonderland Bracket championship Tuesday at 5pm against the winner of Princess Anne and St. Frances Academy. Mallard Creek will play the loser of the same game for third place in the bracket at 1:30pm Tuesday.
