Broughton Wins Opening Game of 2024 John Wall Holiday Invitational over Ravenscroft
Thursday morning had a strong start with the Raleigh Broughton Capitals coming back from a 12 point halftime deficit to knock off the Raleigh Ravenscroft Ravens 57-43. The Ravens scored 19 in the second quarter to go into the locker room up double digits however the Capitals took over in the third quarter scoring 22 points while holding Ravenscroft to only 4 points en route to their tournament opening victory.
Broughton 6’ 5” Sophomore Jordan Page paced the Caps in scoring and rebounds with 21 and 12 rebounds respectively. Senior Christian Outlaw, added 12 points and 5 rebounds of his own.
Ravenscroft was led in scoring by Boston commit Chance Gladden with 31 points while adding 12 rebounds.
Broughton plays again on Friday, December 27th at 5pm against the winner of Greenfield-St. Anne's Belfield which will take place later on Thursday. Ravenscroft will have another early morning on the 27th, playing the loser of Greenfield-St. Anne’s Belfield game at 9:30am.
