The Huntersville Ambassador Christian Lions finish off their tournament with a 57-40 win against the Davidson Day Patriots to claim the 5th place spot in the Coby White Bracket. The Lions came out hot off their big win against Millbrook, and clearly decided to keep their momentum going with a five point lead after the first quarter. Both teams kept it consistent through the half, but the Lions defense was able to hold the Patriots to a five point third quarter, allowing them to pull away towards the win. Ambassador controlled much of the game with 31 rebounds over the much taller Patriots 24.

Ambassador Christian’s win was led by sophomore RJ Moore, who had 23 points in the game. Juniors Braden Miller and Judah King were also key, with King putting up 14 points, and Miller having 6 with 13 rebounds.

The Patriots’ sophomore Cody Peck claimed the role as highest scorer for their team, and was their only player in the double digits with 11 points.

Both teams will continue their seasons back in the new year and will have a home-and-home series in 2026.
