The Huntersville Ambassador Christian Lions destroyed the Raleigh Millbrook Wildcats 84-49 in what was the Wildcats’ second running clock game of the tournament. The Lions came out of the gates swinging, and started the game out going 4 for 4 on their first four three-point shots. The Wildcats were much less successful, and entered the half down 45-23. The second half echoed the first, with Ambassador outscoring Millbrook in both the third and fourth quarter, before hitting the 40 point threshold for a running clock.

The Lion’s win was largely thanks to contributions from the majority of the roster, as four of their players finished scoring in the double digits. Senior Jeremiah Franklin put up 22 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists for his team. Senior Nick Haney had 13, junior Judah King had 11, and junior Braden Miller ended with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Millbrook’s junior Josh Conti was their only player to score in the double digits, with 22 points.

Millbrook will play again Tuesday in the 7th place game of the Coby White Bracket at 11am against The Burlington School. Ambassador will continue the same day in the 5th place game at 12:30pm against Davidson Day.
