Prolific Prep rallies past Combine, 81-69, to advance to Warren title game


RALEIGH – In one of the most anticipated non-championship games of the 2022 John Wall Holiday Invitational, Prolific Prep stayed undefeated with a come-from-behind 81-69 win over Lincolnton Combine Academy.


Five players scored in double digits for the undefeated Crew (16-0) from Napa, Calif. Prolific trailed 20-16 after one period but exploded for a 22-6 margin in the second quarter to take control of the game.


Prolific’s starting lineup of Aden Holloway (24 points, nine rebounds), Tyran Stokes (17 points, seven boards), Trey Greene (15 points, four rebounds), Yves Missi (13 points) and Michael Nwoko (10 points) scored all but two points for the Crew, who advance to take on Raleigh Word of God (9-6) in the Warren championship game at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Raleigh’s Broughton High School.


Combine (19-2) was led by Silas Demary Jr.’s 21 points; Trentyn Flowers and Collin Tanner had 16 apiece for the Goats, who will be in the Warren third-place game at 2 p.m. on Friday vs. Winston-Salem Christian (17-3).
