Graham third-place: Centennial 81, Raleigh Millbrook 59
The nightcap kicked off with Millbrook High School facing off against Centennial. The Huskies flexed their muscle inside early, as 2023 Devin Williams got Centennial on the board with an effortless slam. The Wildcats would answer back, however, as 2025 Colt Langdon canned a pair of 3-pointers. Moments later, 2024 Jayan Walker started to heat up — both from distance and in the midrange — to help Millbrook take a three-point lead after one quarter. The Wildcats’ lead was erased quickly in the second quarter, as Centennial would thrive behind the three-point arc. Led by 2023 Mike Price and 2024 Eric Freeny, the Huskies would build a 43-35 advantage heading into the half.
The Huskies would continue to light it up in the second half, as multiple 3-pointers gave Centennial a double-digit lead. Millbrook would chip into its deficit, as Langdon and Walker would make a couple of tough jumpers to trim the Huskies’ lead to eight points. The final period of play went Centennial’s way. Whether it was Williams thriving inside, 2023 Aaron McBride finishing above the rim or Price continuing his efficient night, the Huskies cruised to a 0-0 blowout win.
