GIRLS: Legacy rolls past Green Hope, 47-30

CARY -- In the second girls' showcase game of the day, Legacy Early College started strong and never relented in a 47-30 victory over Cary Green Hope. Legacy, from Greenville, S.C., never trailed, jumping out to a 12-2 advantage and keeping Green Hope without a field goal for the entire first quarter. The Gators’ Audrey Ericksen scored the team’s first six points, including the team’s first basket with 7:31 left in the second to bring the team within 15-6, but the Lions continued to roar.
Hailey Chiles had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the first half as Legacy went into the break ahead 27-10. The Lions were never threatened in the second half as the lead didn’t drop under double figures. Chiles finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Legacy. For Green Hope, Deana Prasad had 13 points, five rebounds and two steals.
