GIRLS: 1 Of 1 takes final showcase game, 46-38, against Green Level

CARY -- In Thursday's final girls’ showcase contest at Cary Academy, 1 Of 1 got all they could handle from Cary Green Level in a 46-38 win.

The teams were evenly matched early on, with the Raptors building up a 28-21 lead after a Melanie Hill 3-pointer. Behind a strong first half from Audrey Ericksen — she had 14 points — the Gators were within 30-25 at halftime.

Green Level kept up momentum, even taking its first lead late in the third on a Deana Parsad 3-pointer. Aaliyah El came back on the next possession with a layup to give 1 Of 1 a 35-34 advantage to end the quarter.

In the fourth, Parsad hit a pair of free throws with 7:35 left to give the Gators the lead again, but the Raptors responded with a 9-0 run to take control.

For 1 Of 1, Ella Hobbs had 15 points and nine rebounds with El contributing 13 points and four rebounds.

For Green Level, Ericksen had 16 points and four rebounds.
