Don Bosco Prep holds off Centennial for Graham bracket title berth

RALEIGH – Don Bosco Prep jumped out to an early lead against Centennial from Corona, Calif., and held on late to advance to the Devonte Graham championship game in their inaugural visit to the John Wall Holiday Invitational.
DBP, out of Ramsey, N.J., led 19-11 after one quarter but saw that lead evaporate to nothing as Centennial tied the game at 63-63 with a few seconds remaining. However, junior guard Dylan Harper hit two free throws to provide the final margin.
Harper led all scorers with 28 points and also provided seven boards; his teammate, Isaiah Brown, hit 5-of-6 3s to finish with 22 points for the Ironmen (6-0).
Duke commit and senior wing Jared McCain, who played through sickness for the second straight game, finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Huskies (10-3). Centennial was led by Eric Freeny's 19 points
